8 Tibetan Home Stay to High Pass of 4718 meter (15,475 feet)

(October 3, - month xx, 2005)


Tim riding near yet another pass, by now I am losing count.

9 High Pass of 4718 meter (15,475 feet) to Litang

(October 6 - 9, 2005)


Cindie reaches the highest altitude of our entire 3 1/2 years of bicycling around the world.  4718 meter (15,475 feet)  A week later we beat this record by 100 meters but it was very exciting at the time.

This lady was just as interested in us as the kids were, she did not mind getting her picture taken either, I wonder how old she is?


Tim first arriving in a comfortable hotel room in Litang.  after 6 days of camping and hard riding at high altitude.  He is ready for a hot shower and shave.

Our campsite between the ditches on a mountain road, it was a great campsite because the soil was well draining and it rained all night and into the morning.
