We have experience cycling in over 50 countries. We’re cyclists. When you're traveling the world, it's difficult to find resources for the best cycling in an area. The purpose of Pedal The Planet is to be that resource.

We consider ourselves a "do it yourself" alternative to bicycle touring companies and a resource for cyclists traveling with their bike. We have traveled with several companies and think they have a place for some cyclists. But, the majority of us are capable of traveling on our own. We provide you with the tools you need.

We take our bikes anytime we travel. If traveling for work, we check out the riding. If we’re off to see family or friends, the bikes come along and we explore new roads, trails and cycle paths. Cycling is the best way to explore our world.

Search our site to find cycling specific maps and guides, combine those with appropriately scaled road maps to research and plan your cycling adventures. Combine this research with travel guides and you have all the information you need to travel in an area.

We can help you with on-road or off-road adventures. We have “bike packed” on several continents. If you love backpacking, you’ll love bike packing. The adventure of mountain biking to explore everything from backcountry rail-to-trails to incredible single track cannot be matched.
