Rewalsar Lake is sacred to Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs.

Statue of Padmasambhava, the Indian scholar who left Rewalsar to spread Buddhism
to Tibet in the 8th century AD.

The bathing ghat.

Monastery of red tile.

Big red door for good luck and a large knocker for the hard of hearing.

Cindie spinning the wheels.

Village from above.

Nice place to work. Cindie is converting our books to ePub file for the iBook
store.

Bell.

Looking at the face and dress, this is an Indian man, but he's also a Buddhist
missionary.

Another view of the monastery. We stayed at another one with rooms for rent.

Bell and Monk.

Another monastery clinging to the hillside.

Intricate painted woodwork.

The monks wearing gold are the respected elders.

The Sikh temple, called a gurdwara.

Closer view.

Small Hindu temple.
