I usually have a little bread in my backpack for this
goose during my walks but none in my bike bags this time - as you can see,
she is asking me and trying to act cute on a rainy bike ride through
Darjeeling, India.

Gretchen at work.

Drumming and dancing.

Cycling the backroads around Darjeeling.

We took a break at a little roadside shrine.

Chowrasta on a wet day.

Goofing around with a tiger.

Time for the rain gear.

It's Hogwarts!

Darjeeling is a nice walking town if you don't mind a few hills and stairs.

At the train station in Ghoom.

The green hills of West Bengal.

The back way to Ghoom.

An exuberant little monastery.

Playing cricket in street.

Clothing stalls along the Mall.

Small village across the valley from Darjeeling.

Another nice walk around Darjeeling.

Two silly boys.

Goofing around for the camera.

Bike repair of any kind always draws lots of attention.

A stand of cedar trees.

Backpackers and Indian tourists come to Darjeeling to escape the heat.

You can arrange a homestay at a tea plantation.

Another magnificent view.

Just after monsoon season is the high tourist season.

Tibetan flatbread with a yummy onion filling.

Darjeeling ponies in their cement stalls.

The Mall gets crowded with pedestrians.

This picture was taken a couple weeks ago at the travel agency office where
they had a big map - always draws my attention. I still have Europe, The
Middle East, and Africa to go - Another 10 years+ on the road!
