Wanaka to Queenstown

Routeburn  hiking / tramping / trekking Track

(March 2 - 6, 2008)

It is downhill and around the corner from here.


Earnland falls.


The Harris Saddle emergency shelter on the Routeburn track, one hut is for guided hikers and the other is for independent hikers, what a strange system.

Queenstown to Invercargill

(March 9 - 18, 2008)


A couple of American cyclists we met on the road.

Invercargill to Curio Bay, Catlins, South Island, New Zealand

(March 19 - 22, 2008)

Cindie with Robert Esson, he is 77 and has been cycle touring for 17 years. whoa.

(March 23 - 26, 2008)

(March 25 - April 2, 2008)

This building is in the Bicycle New Zealand book, we had to stop for a photo op.

(April 4 - 8, 2008)


The rail trail is gravel and you ride on the left.

 


Cromwell to Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand

(April 9 - May 2, 2008)

Our campsite north of Cromwell.

Our campsite near the pass, it was starting to get cold and we woke to frost.

Dry Otago was a joy to ride through.

At wetlands near Twizle.
