Back
from China.....SARS free

Gray skies, no stars,
cold, snow, rain, vomiting, cough and fever don't sound like the makings of a
perfect vacation but it has all been a part of the mix of an amazing experience
in China. A one on one experience with the head of OB in Xi'an was as
fascinating for me as the Terra Cotta warriors. Navigating the streets of
Guilin on a bike was not as beautiful as the limestone peaks for which it is so
famous but quite exciting. The 3 Gorge Dam site was amazing but 'talking' with
my hands with a deaf mute in one of the relocation cities brought tears of joy
to both our faces. Walking on The Great Wall right after listening to the news
of conflict in Iraq made me wonder if we would ever learn. A six year old child
getting a group of strangers from a far way land to sing Jingle Bells together
brought tears as words weren't enough to bridge the gap between the hate waging
on CNN and the oneness felt in the room. We were in the one church we saw and a
young woman, whose only sentence I really understood asked, "Do you believe in
Jesus?" …."Oh Yes," was all I was able to say.
Three weeks in China can't possibly be summed up in a paragraph so if you want
more information re my impressions of this fascinating land, a wonderful tour
group I would highly recommend or other comments, please send me an email with
your specific questions to Linda Jenkins @

a birth video out with Chinese narration, please also take a look at my website
www.Birthprep.com and pass the words
along!
